On 21 June 2011, the Avrora cinema in Krasnodar fitted two of its screens with RealD equipment for screening digital 3D films. RealD is a world leader in supplying digital 3D systems to cinemas.
This is the first time the American company has worked with an independent cinema in Russia. Until now, RealD systems have only been installed in KinoStar cinemas (with a total of 58 digital screens). KinoStar was bought at the beginning of June, 2011 by the Cinema Park chain.
